Office and life of St. John of Rila [microform], [179-?].

Office followed by the Life of St. John of Rila (Oct. 19th) on leaf 24a according to Euthymius of Turnovo, Patriarch of Bulgaria and other sources. Leaf 53a, Transferring of the relics of St. John of Rila (or abbreviated version of life) compiled according to Dimitrije Kantakuzin and Vladimir Gramatik. The text of life is similar to one copied by priest Iōan of Vrat︠s︡a from 1788, where monk Daniil is mentioned as the author of the compilation. Both of the versions contain information that the native village of St. John, Skrino, was ravaged and deserted for many years. Without inscriptions. Ornamented heading.

1 v. (60 leaves) ; 21 cm.
